izzit is a daily drawing game for iOS. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.

What we collect

Drawings you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis (to judge whether your drawing matches the daily word). Google processes the image to generate a response and does not store it. See Google's AI terms.

Anonymous usage analytics are collected via Firebase Analytics to help us understand how the app is used (e.g., how many drawings are submitted, which features are popular). This data is anonymous and cannot identify you personally.

Crash reports are collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. These include device model, OS version, and stack traces. No personal information is included.

iCloud sync — if you use multiple Apple devices, your game data (drawings, streaks, history) syncs via Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

What we don't collect

• No account creation or login required
• No personal information (name, email, phone) is collected by the app
• No third-party advertising or ad tracking
• No data is sold to third parties
• No location data

Email signup (website only)

If you sign up for launch notifications on our website, we store your email address solely to send you one notification when the app launches. We do not share your email with anyone. You can request removal by emailing us.

Data storage

Your drawings and game history are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. If iCloud is enabled, this data also syncs to your iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Children's privacy

izzit does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to use.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete all of your izzit data at any time. No account or email required.

Delete from inside the app

1. Open izzit on your device.
2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the home screen to open Settings.
3. Scroll to the Privacy section.
4. Tap Delete All My Data.
5. Confirm by tapping Delete in the dialog.

The app will erase your data and restart automatically.

What gets deleted

• All your drawings (stored on your device)
• All daily challenge history, attempts, and outcomes
• Your streak count, badge counts, and other stats
• Your custom color picker setting
• Your anonymous Firebase Analytics identifier (a fresh anonymous ID is generated next session)
• Any unsent crash reports cached on the device

What izzit keeps

• Aggregated, anonymous analytics events previously sent to Firebase (e.g., "a drawing was submitted") remain in Google's systems per their standard retention policies. These are not tied to you personally and cannot be linked back to you after deletion.
• Crash reports already uploaded to Firebase Crashlytics. These contain device model and stack traces but no personal information.

Alternative: uninstall the app

Uninstalling izzit from your device deletes all locally stored drawings, history, and preferences. The next time you install the app, it will start fresh.

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
